ABOUT SCHOOL

Air Force School Pathankot, a pioneer institution, is targeting at developing an educational experience design to promote the maximum potential of its students and to challenge and assist them to become competent, thoughtful, contributing members of society. We recognize the need of laying solid foundation upon which to construct the future for our students. It is our endeavour to encourage students to be curious logical, unique and creative thinking.

Air Force School, Pathankot started from its humble beginnings in 1962 and has grown by leaps and bounds to become one of the best schools not only in Pathankot but also in the Indian Air Force.

The school is housed in a permanent building in three-acre land. The school has enough land to develop its  infrastructure and to accommodate more number of students. Permanent building of the school was  commissioned under an Admin approval from Air HQ vide Air HQ/36020/180/W-1 dated 12 Aug 1986.The total  strength of students in the school is 700.

The school has classes running from LKG to XII standard. The school is affiliated to CBSE vide Letter No. CBSE/Aff./1630040/2004/1154 dated 27 Jan 2004. The school has adequate teaching/ training aids, which are effectively utilised in classroom teaching.

School is following syllabus as prescribed by CBSE Subjects which are required to be studied in various classes and books to be used are in accordance with policies issued by HQ WAC vide letter no. WAC/1628/ED dated 31 Jan 2004.The school is adhering to the guidelines issued by HQ WAC with regards to uniform pattern for boys and girls during summer and winter sessions respectively. Dress for PT/Games is also being followed strictly. The waist belt with prescribed monogram has been introduced as specified by Command HQs.

Spacious playground along with Basket Ball, Volley ball, 03 badminton courts and T.T. room help in honing the children’s skills in outdoor and indoor sports activities. In addition to this, the classes of Karate for self-defence, Yoga and Gymnastics are also conducted for their overall development. The various play equipment is also provided to the primary children.
